Hence from here it was the beginning of a great adventure, originated from the Count’s aspiration to create a Sicilian Chateau while aiming to high quality winemaking: in 1997, savouring a taste of a land rich of culture and traditions, with ancient flavours that are able to return current from day to day, from sip to sip, he left the

region of Veneto and moved to Sicily. The Count Marzotto, thanks to a solid investment base, to an effective strategy and to a strong professional team was able, in a short time period, to scale the company from small into a bigger size, matching traditions and family values with innovation and globalization. Thus opened Baglio di Pianetto to new markets which leaded the growth of the brand that, even if still young, it boasts deep and unique roots. Just like Sicily.

Baglio di Pianetto business aims to produce high standards quality wines by basing its production on the exact equilibrium between tradition and innovation. We operate to guarantee constant quality in all manufacturing processes, by combining the newest technologies with the most ancient wine production techniques of blending and refining.
Even more important, behind the 160 hectares of land where we grow grapes of unique characteristics, is our consciousness that the wine is born and developed in

the countryside and not in cellars. Under this perspective it is vital to maintain a strong connection with the land of origin. Land of which the vineyard species are every time its extraordinary expression telling shapes, colours, and flavours.

Taking advantage from the generosity and the potentials of the island, the main purpose of Conte Marzotto has always been producing wines of strong Sicilian style, capable of being, depending on the occasion, delicate and elegant or intense and youthful.
